 Comments about this trail:

We have ridden many of the rail trails and bikeways in New England at one time or another. This one really impressed us for several reasons. It seems well planned out. There are only a few places where traffic (Cars and Trucks) become a problem. There are very few hills and none are what I would call problems for even an entry level rider. It is a very scenic ride with a variety of sights and stops to consider. There is a one mile side trail up hill to a highway rest area that has food and rest rooms including a Dunkin Donuts. This was the most substantial hill on the whole ride and it could be better marked but it is still great considering how much is lacking in some other trails. Most of the views are tied into the river with some historical mill sites and dams wothy of exploring if you like getting off the bike for awhile. Keep in mind there are other sections that have not opened yet and some of the unfinished trails may be rough. The 9 - 10 mile section we rode was nicely paved and most of it recently.

So check out my small set of photos about this trip and email me if you have any additional comments. I just might add them here. To get started click on the photo to the left or the text below it and a separate window should open at my Flickr.
